You don't have to worry about whether yours will meet the specs, etc. Everything that comes out for PS5, for example, is going to play exactly the same on every PS5. Another benefit the life cycle is that you don't need to upgrade for 7 years. Especially when PCs are more expensive in general, at least if you want them to match the power of current gen consoles. One upside is cost - upgrading often can be expensive. The part about not having to wait 7 years for an upgrade has an upside and a downside. Also, you can use a keyboard and mouse on consoles. I understand that I could theoretically have more control with a keyboard and mouse if I mastered them, but as someone who has been playing on consoles since I was 6, a controller feels more natural and intuitive to me, so I'm much better with it than I am with a keyboard and mouse. But may not be the best tool in the hands of someone who's not skilled with it (myself, for example lol). Keyboard and mouse is objectively superior in terms of capability. Gamepass gives you access to a ton of games, many of which can be streamed, meaning they look good on lower end PCs as long as the internet connection is stable. PC doesn't require a fee for online gaming, but can be enhanced by paying one. I think those are valid points for the most part, with some caveats.
